Our first partner African Leadership University, the “Harvard of Africa”. ALU was founded in 2013 to develop a generation of high calibre ethical leaders for Africa. It uses a unique and innovative learning model that integrates students’ learning with the real world, empowers students to take ownership of their own learning, equips students to think entrepreneurially, and employs the most engaging and inspiring teaching methods. It is the first of its kind in the world, leveraging Africa’s lack of legacy systems to ‘leapfrog’ existing universities around the world. As a result of its distinctive approach to learning, ALU has been dubbed “the Harvard of Africa” by CNN, and “ a place where history is being made” by the New York Times.
